Cheerfly

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 27, 2026

1. About this app

“Cheerfly” (the App) is an app for recording the time you spend working and for sending encouragement between users. These Terms set out the rules for using the App. By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

2. Account

An account is required in order to use the App. If the information you register is incorrect, or if you impersonate another person, your account may be suspended.

Use of the App is limited to people aged 13 or over. Where the law of your country of residence sets a higher age, use is limited to people who have reached that age.

3. Information that is made public

When you start working, your display name, the title of your work and the elapsed time are shown to other users. The title of your work is made public, so do not include anything you do not want others to know.

4. Prohibited conduct

The following is prohibited.

  • Sending messages that insult, threaten or discriminate against other users
  • Impersonating another person
  • Deliberately creating records that do not reflect reality, such as recording work that was not done
  • Operating the App by automated means
  • Interfering with the operation of the App or its servers
  • Any act that violates the law

5. Handling of posted content

Messages of encouragement are posted by users. The operator does not review every post in advance.

Inappropriate posts can be reported with the reporting function inside the App. Reported content is reviewed within 24 hours, and is removed, or the account suspended, where necessary. A sender can also be blocked at any time.

6. Accuracy of records

Working time is recorded on the basis of communication between your device and the server. Depending on network conditions, device settings, the app being closed and similar circumstances, a record may not match the work that actually took place. The accuracy and completeness of records are not guaranteed. Do not use the App where accuracy is required, such as for workplace timekeeping.

7. Advertising

The App may display advertisements. Their content is determined by the advertising providers, and the operator takes no responsibility for it. How the information collected is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.

8. Paid plan

The App offers a paid plan on the following terms.

  • Name: Standard Plan
  • Price: US$2.99 per month (United States App Store)
  • Period: renewed automatically every month
  • Benefits: no advertisements are shown, and the number of work items you can register becomes unlimited (the free plan allows up to 5)

* The price differs by storefront (country or region): US$2.99 in the United States, £2.99 in the United Kingdom, €2.99 in the Netherlands, France, Germany and Belgium, CA$3.99 in Canada, CHF 3.00 in Switzerland, and JPY 480 in Japan. The amount actually charged follows what the App Store shows at the time of purchase.

Payment is made through the App Store and is charged to your Apple ID account once you confirm the purchase. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, the subscription renews automatically. The charge for the renewal is made within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Cancellation is done in the App Store settings of the Apple ID used for the purchase. It is not possible to cancel inside the App. Even after cancelling, you can use the benefits of the Standard Plan until the period you have already paid for ends.

Payment and refunds are handled by Apple. Whether a refund is granted is determined by Apple’s rules, and the operator does not process refunds.

The price and the content of the benefits may change. If they do, the description on this page and what is shown in the App and on the App Store will be updated, and the new terms will apply from the next renewal onwards.

9. Changes to the service and its discontinuation

Features may be added, changed or removed, and the service may be discontinued. If the service is discontinued, notice will be given in advance as far as that is possible.

10. Disclaimer

The operator is not liable for damage arising from use of the App, except where it is caused by the operator’s intent or gross negligence. Problems arising from exchanges between users are to be resolved between the parties concerned.

11. Changes to these Terms

If these Terms are changed, the new text and the date of the update will be posted on this page. If you use the App after a change, you are deemed to have agreed to it.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. If a dispute arises in connection with the App, the district court having jurisdiction over the operator’s address shall be the exclusive court of first instance.

However, if you use the App as a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits the rights given to you by provisions of the law of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by agreement (mandatory rules). Where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings before the courts of the place where you live, or the right to the protection of its consumer law, that right is not affected by the preceding paragraph.
