Cheerfly

A place to cheer each other on while you work

Nothing interrupts you while you work.
The cheers arrive once you are done.

The notifications that break your focus become something you collect later instead. The quiet tension of being watched, and all the encouragement waiting for you at the end — you get both.

While you work, the other screens are closed

Starting a session closes the tabs and the way back. No more opening the timeline “just for a second” and watching the hour disappear.

Someone is watching, and cheering you on

People who are working appear in a list. From there, anyone can look in and send a message or a sticker.

The cheers arrive once you are done

Nothing rings while you are working. Everything that arrived is shown together the moment you finish.

Why the cheers arrive later

Encouragement that arrives on the spot feels good, and it costs you your focus. You read the notification, you reply, and while you are there you open another app. In the end, it is a machine for breaking concentration.

So this app holds them back. Nothing appears on the working screen. The moment you press finish, every message and sticker that arrived in the meantime shows up at once.

Praise after the run, not during it. That order is what lets focus and recognition live together.

How it works

  1. 1

    Start working

Decide what you are going to do and begin. From here, the other screens are out of reach.

  2. 2

    Focus

Only the elapsed time moves. Register sub-tasks in advance and you can switch with one tap and keep the breakdown.

  3. 3

    Receive the cheers

The moment you finish, everything that arrived while you worked is shown together.

You do not have to put your phone away

Inside the app, you cannot move to another screen. Because of how iOS works, though, going back to the home screen cannot be prevented. So rather than stopping you from leaving, we make a note of it. Not to hold it against you, but so that you can look back on your own focus afterwards.
